The Role
It was a big transition going from a small research coursework in class to a big professional research project but I had a lot of support and I have definitely been given the opportunity to develop new skills and learn to be more self sufficient.
I felt my work was very valued with my recruiting, testing participants then analysing data. Also with my literature research and assisting writing up results and writing up a research paper.
I was given a lot of support throughout, especially when I first started.
I was pretty busy most of the time so it really makes you feel you have achieved something at the end of the day.
I was given a lot of responsibility. I was given assistance in areas I wasn't 100% sure about but I was encouraged to take responsibility for the tasks I was involved with in order to further myself.
It really helped. I feel I have a better understanding of more complex statistics and psychological theories, I feel I have a good idea of the structure of my final year project and also in presenting the paper.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office certainly wasn't dull. I was in an office with other placement students working on different projects and so we got to see lots of different projects at work.
It was very well organised.
A lot of time and effort, I couldn't have asked for more.

Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I'm intending to do post-graduate study and continue a career in research.
The Culture
Yes, I didn't have any problems and we went out outside of work time and fun in the office.
Reasonable for a central city location. Student deals.
Lots to do both at the university and in the city.
Evening lectures and will be presenting at a conference.
