    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I help the content sales teams sell Disney-owned movies and tv series by providing research insights on the market. My day-to-day involves producing reports that provide information on the market to the sales teams. The teams will also request information on a specific topic and it is also part of my role to help with these requests.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I've learnt a lot of new skills. My competency with excel has improved drastically since joining the company. I've also been able to develop my ability to analyze trends in different sets of data and how best to explain/communicate these trends to others. I've also done a lot of virtual presentations which have helped improve my public speaking skills.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • We are given quite a lot of responsibility. The reports we produce are our own responsibility and we also have responsibility for specific sales teams in central and eastern Europe. You also help sales teams in other parts of Europe but that responsibility is shared with others in the team. There is a lot of support from your line manager and the team as a whole.
