    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Junior Business Analyst day to day tasks include: sanity testing the point of sale system for the disney stores, logging tickets for the support helpdesk, being apart of internal and international projects, fundraising for intern activities, learning about essential topics for the intern program e.g. project management, time management and productivity, your personal brand etc.

  • I have boarded my testing skills and put my degree knowledge to practice, worked on my confidence levels as I have had to present and communicate a lot across the business, this placement has also helped me work on my organisational skills and time management.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, In many areas as I was assigned as chairman for certain meetings which I hosted, I also had to prepare presentations to give the team, and done a lot of work where I was assigned group leader.

  • A massive amount of support. My manager and team were always available when I needed help, and were able to join a Zoom call when I needed to be shown how to do something.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Working remotely meant that I could join daily team meetings, which helped with building the team communication and keeping us all in the loop. Disney is an amazing company to work for, all of the people are so lovely and friendly! I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement, even though I worked remotely throughout COVID, there were still lots of communication with team members, interns and lots of online events/activities to take part in!
