    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my time at Handelsbanken! They were helpful and a great example of how a bank should interact with customers. They kept me very busy and engaged throughout and helped me gain experience in almost all areas in the bank.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I definitely will seek a job here in the future as I felt welcomed from the start and was seen as full time employee rather than just an intern.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given support on every problem I had and wanted me to ask questions if I was stuck. They made sure I knew what I was doing yet also had the autonomy to learn on my own.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I constantly asked for Jobs and they always had meaningful things for me to do. I also had the freedom to work on projects and anything I needed to do.

  • I was given jobs which were meaningful and was trusted to do things which were important. I was encouraged to ask questions if I was stuck. I also had projects to get on with when I had time which was my own work

  • It gave me a real insight into how a bank works and some practical experience which will help my degree

  • Great atmosphere which promoted a good work ethic.

  • It was well planned for me however some were not as lucky and had to do a lot of things on their own

  • I was given courses to do to help gain the knowledge but also the practical experience.
