The Role
I really enjoyed most parts of the job, there were some parts (documentation for example) which I found less interesting than others but it is part of A Tcoms job. Overall I really did enjoy my year.
I felt like a valued and productive part of the team as opposed to other placements I spoke with from other companies who were little more than a glorified 'tea boy'.
I was very well supported both by my peers and by Management.
Due to that nature of the job, and the learning curve needed before productive work can be carried out I did find there was sometimes not enough to do, especially in the early stages of the year, but when I raised this issue my colleagues did their best to help me out.
I was asked to take on and manage several projects from start to finish with as little assistance as I wanted, including unsupervised trips to remote sites to install hardware and troubleshoot problems.
My final year has been significantly eased by the Cisco skills and general networking as well as project management skills and Presentation skills learned from this placement.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was professional but friendly, with a good out of work social atmosphere as well.
The company invested in me well and send me on several courses for presentation skills, goal setting and personal development which i found very useful as well as the on-the-job Cisco training I received from skilled employees in the field.

I would be interested in a job if there is a position available.
The Culture
All the placements were put in touch and we managed to secure a house (between 4) this worked well and was very convenient for commuting as well as socialising out of work.
Living costs were manageable by sharing a house, but not cheap, socialising was expensive as Warwick is not a cheap area.
Nightlife was good with Leamington having many pubs and bars as well as a few clubs.
