  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As stated previously, was not treated and just a placement student. From the first week I was given my own areas of responsibility and then was given new tasks throughout the year.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Good atmosphere. People often had a laugh and enjoyed themselves but also know when to get back to work. The office space itself could do with a few improvements though such as an improved break out area.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Was well set up given the circumstances as my line manager had not been with the company too long before I started and she was mostly responsible for my placement.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Majority was on the job training however besides training in order to prepare me for my workload there were not many opportunities for external training courses offered to me for my learning & development.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Bentleys invest a lot in their future staff so create a lot of good opportunities for future employment. The organisation is also rapidly growing so future employment opportunities are appealing.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Fairly regular social occasions were planned within the office. There were quite a few placements so good opportunity to make friends.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Can get cheap rent in the local area, maybe not in Skipton itself but if you drive you can live in one of the near by towns for cheap rent.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Wasn't too involved in the nightlife personally but the head office is in Skipton which is a nice town but not a great deal going on! Although Leeds was not too far away which is always a good place to go.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I personally enjoyed sometimes playing football after work, other than that I don't think there were many other things going on other than social gatherings.
