The Role
I absolutely loved my placement year at the Walt Disney Company, and would highly recommend
All staff are so friendly and supportive as they are used to having interns, and treat us completely equal to all permanent members
My team were amazing, and very keen to see me grow and adapt the role to my skillets
As the job differed daily, some days I felt myself struggling to stay busy and others I had lots of projects. This taught me how to manage, organise and prioritise.
The level of responsibility depends on whether you prove you can take it on. As my manager went on maternity leave 9 months in, I was alone for a month which allowed me to challenge myself with a new level of responsibility
I believe the life skills I have learnt in terms of time management, organisation, communicating, networking and project managing will be invaluable for my future
The Company
Happy, supportive and friendly
Great, as the programme has been in place for ages.
No generic training
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
No room for a graduate within most teams, only interns and managers, however can make a job role if really want somebody back
The Culture
Great group of interns
As understandable for London, expensive
Great bars and pubs
