  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I found the vacation scheme extremly useful, because i was involved in a range of tasks within the Real Estate dept. Additionally, it assured me that I would enjoy a career in law.

    • I felt valued 100% of the time I was there and people from partner level to paralegal all engaged and supported me.

    • My supervisor and trainees provided me with indepth guidance and support.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The skills i developed at the law firm and the knowledge, which i gained about property law etc. will be extremly helpful within a legal career, when i go into practicing Law.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The vacation scheme was well structured and we were provided with a time table, which specified dates and times for certain events etc. Overall it was well constructed.

    • The atmoshpere was great between the Walker Morris staff and the vacation scheme candidates, and i consider this to be founded upon the well-run vacation scheme.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • The vacation scheme definitely clarified, the working hours of a law firm and the different departments workload. It was definitely a great insight into a legal career and help me understand what to expect.

    • Walker Morris has a rich northern based culture, which it emphasised a lot throughout the vacation scheme in a positive way. The northern roots communication is one of the key reasons why I love the law firm and would like to work there.

    • The vacation scheme was extremly valuable because it emphasised the day to day life of a trainee and associate right the way through to a partner. Additionally, it reinforced how the law firm pull together and work as a team, while my workload reinforced my passion for law and that i would enjoy a career within the legal sector.

    • Thhe networking opportunities happened both in the evening and during the day. Mnay individuals would take the time out to talk and explain their work etc.
