We are situated in Leeds and are one of the largest commercial law firms in the North, the most profitable outside London, with over 500 employees and a national and international client list. The practice at Walker Morris is classified into three core groups—corporate/commercial, commercial property and litigation. Within each of these groups is a comprehensive listing of specialist services, covering several industry sectors and practice streams.
The areas of practice for which the firm is particularly well-known include insolvency and restructuring; banking litigation; real estate; licensing; I.P. and I.T.; and energy. Clients include Hotel Cipriani, Debenhams, Starbucks, Lloyds TSB and HBOS.

We don't have a Walker Morris clone that we are looking for. We look for individuality in bright, commercially minded graduates who look forward to a challenge.
Summer Placement Scheme 1 week
The whole idea is that you get as much useful experience as possible. You’ll sit with a solicitor or partner in one of our commercial departments for one week.
You will also be assigned a trainee buddy who will support you during the week, show you around etc. There are presentations, social events and some case studies also for you to take part in. It's a fairly intensive week, so get some sleep before you come in!
