    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Very good chance to experience the culture of the firm first hand. Limited in the sense that I was only exposed to one department but this is understandable for a one week placement.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • felt very welcomed and valued. I was taken into a client meeting and was able to chat with the clients, and have been given quality work which has been me feel as though I have been able to contribute something during my time.

    • Good guidance and support, everyone has been approachable and it is easy to find answers to any questions

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I don't feel that I have developed any skills per say but I have been able to meet many new people and build connections which is valuable. I have also been exposed to a sector I have previously had no experience in so this has been interesting and informative.

    • Very well structured, timetabled events throughout the week.

    • Welcoming friendly atmosphere.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Carried out a negotiation exercise which was independently assessed and feedback given, this showed an investment on behalf of the firm and was useful in understanding how a negotiation should ideally develop.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • Very good exposure, have met many people and gained a good feel for the firm. People have been honest and happy to talk.

    • Again, I have spoken to many people who have given an honest assessment of what it is like working for the firm. In some ways the firm is more old fashioned than some, but staff have talked frankly about this and I do not necessarily see it as a negative.

    • I already knew going in to this what my idea career path would be

    • I could class the payment as generous expenses - £175.00 per week

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Many networking opportunities from lunches to evening drinks. Many good opportunities to meet staff.

    • Very good, easy to mix with people and a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.
