    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Professionally it was great, lots of responsibilities, really interesting and varied work. I didn't only stay in the office too I was sent around the country on the field. Team spirit could have been better, team social events were very rare and so are smiley faces and friendly conversations.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I had work on it and prove myself, but they were very supportive and took me seriously as an equal

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had no training and I had to learn most things by myself which was frustrating at times. But management are also open to questions and give you support if you ask for it.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It depends some days/weeks/months you are snowed under work and other days lots of facebook. It's up to you if you want to work hard and get involved so al in all good balance.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I gradually got more and more responsibility as the year went on so i wasn't thrown straight into the deep end. But i ended up by being responsibible for a consequant part of the business and a key member of my team.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The experience this placement brought me is priceless, I have learned and changed a lot faced with the realities of corporate life. I feel more motivated about going back to uni and feel better prepared for future interviews and jobs.
