4/5
It was a lovely experience and whilst some of the tasks can be a bit disengaging at times, I still learned a lot and had a great time working with an amazing team!
I felt incredibly valued by my team and felt like an integral member even though my experience was often limited compared to my colleagues.
I was given a lot of support by my line manager and upper management especially when they allowed me to work from home from my home country due to the virus situation.
I felt that I was comfortable with the workload and never felt overworked.
I was given significant responsibility over a range of projects such as the Nespresso Boutique upgrades and developing a digital system for the SMA nutrition team as well as many over roles within my team.
I felt that I developed a lot of helpful IT and technical skills in systems development that will greatly assist me in my studies. In addition, adapting to work-life has really increased my confidence in joining the job market after graduation.
The office felt professional yet casual enough to be comfortable. The pets at work policy and free coffee really makes the place feel very welcoming too!
I believe my placement experience has been well organised since the start and the projects I was given were relevant and helpful for my role.
My company provided a lot of online training and even sponsored my trip to the York offices for a week to further develop my skills.
Given that almost half the placements continued working in Nestlé, I find the future employment prospects within the company to be very appealing.
My colleagues at Gatwick definitely had some great social events together although it would've been better if we could have had more! The social scene at the York office is lovely especially since that's where all the placements are. All in all, I've had some great memories but there's definitely room for improvement here.
It was a bit expensive since I'm based near London however the location bonus definitely helps a bit with the costs!
It was non-existent however I personally didn't mind it too much.
There are local sports clubs that you could join. However, the city I was based in was quite limited, unfortunately.
