I really enjoyed my work on my internship. I was really given the freedom to experience working with different teams and was trusted to work independently. I was given the opportunity to complete tasks and join in on important projects. I really learnt so much over my time in the role.
I really enjoyed my work placement with Nestle. I was in the quality assurance team which require a lot of attention to detail but in the end I found that I became really good at the work I was doing and had formed great relationships with the rest of my team and division.
I really enjoyed my time at Nestle. The Customer Care team made me feel very welcome and the LGO as a whole department is very friendly and not as scary as I thought it would have been. No one looked down on me, as a placement we were treated equally just like a normal employee.
The project that I was given was very interesting. The brand that I was given was very exciting and gave me a lot of ideas of how I could meet my brief. The opportunities that this gave me to find out more about the market and the insight it gave me into consumers was very interesting and beneificial. I enjoyed coming to work everyday and the work that I was given to do was interesting while challenging me to apply my own knowledge to come to a solution.
I found marketing at Nestlé to be even more interesting than I expected; I was given a really interesting project and a great balance of freedom and guidance. I got to visit various factory and supplier sites, as well as worked closely with creative agencies, which allowed for a whole-rounded experience. I would gladly recommend the internship to everyone.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Nestlé as throughout the ten weeks I got a real feel for marketing and the FMCG industry. As a linguist, I chose a marketing internship with Nestlé as I wanted something fast-paced and project based within a global company that would present new and interesting challenges – this internship delivered all this and more. I participated in creative workshops and ideation sessions on top of data analysis and really worked both sides of my brain! My team were really great and made me feel right at home, and the other interns were really supportive and encouraging which meant that the entire experience was enjoyable.
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at Nestle. Working in the marketing division, I lead a live project to launch a brand new product into the market which was really exciting, engaging and allowed me to develop a great set of skills to go forward with in my career. No two days were the same and I worked with many different agencies to develop artwork, packaging, technical aspects and much more which allowed me to see a product from a concept and move it through to launch.
It was very interesting, as it gave me valuable insight on how a multinational company like Nestle operates. Furthermore, the activities I was involved in were very good also, such as the Dog Show which provided me with important information regarding our direct competitors and also showed me how dog shows can be important for our brand as Breeders are very important advocates of PRO PLAN and on these events, there are many breeders. In addition, I also went to an external advertising agency (Edelman), which provided to be very enlightening as the person at Edelman taught me a lot about digital and social marketing (the differences between each platform, how to get the most of each one of them, and what things are not allowed to be posted on the platforms). Finally, the team went on an external day which was very good and which I thoroughly enjoyed as it enabled me to meet and talk to a wide variety of people.
It was a tough challenge but I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a huge amount during my time at Nestle. The people were all really supportive and it was an amazing experience to be working on teams responsible for some of the most well known products in the UK and globally.
