    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Never a dull day, surprisingly a full time respected role which means you cannot be bored or not busy as things have to be done.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given full control over the recruitment of the industrial placement students for 2011 -2012. In total i hired 16 students. Not only this but it was my project to co-ordinate the olympic engagement activities across the company.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I was allowed to attend any course i felt would benefit be and learnt how to truly prevail in an organisation. I always thought that i was a well organised and efficient person anyway, but realise now that this was nothing compared to my business acumen i have delveloped now.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • HR is a small office, limited people and not often busy with footfall, however my team spruced things up on dull days.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Sadly, my team faced some difficulties during my time, which resulted in only me being left which of course meant that there was some disorganisation however the rest of the HR department helped me to cope with this.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A lot, they always encouraged me to do things alone and change things were i saw fit (within reason). In fact, i also got to attend courses which some students probably wouldn't have been able to in other organisations.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?

    Subsidised Canteen

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Good, however i have had such a well rounded experience within the HR department I would like to experience another company to contrast to.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • This makes the placement that little bit extra, and my experience was so great that I used this as the selling point to prospective industrial placement students during the recruitment process for my job.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Average really for a university town. Live in reading and it is much better than Bracknell.
