    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed working at Freshfields. I've subsequently applied for a training contract, based on how enjoyable I found the internship

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt the work I did was helpful to those I was shadowing and not merely provided to keep me busy.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given guidance on what they wanted me to do but it was not completely spelt out as they expected a certain level of ability to figure things out for yourself.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It was a mixture. There were days when I was very busy ad days when I wished I had more to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As a vacation visitor you were obviously not given loads of responsibility but you were expected to undertake anything they did give you to do on your own.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think that on the placement it was the skills developed during my degree studies that helped me here rather than the other way around. Although I do believe it has motivated me to work even harder at my degree to do better in general.

    3/5
