    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Very much so, not much work experience available as a First-year student so I was very happy to receive the offer and tried to get as much out of the experience as possible

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Valued in that they clearly valued your impression of the firm - lots of networking and presentations to give you an overview of the sector and their position within it. Lots of activities arranged for us.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Happy to answer question or give guidance, particularly took advantage of that during work shadowing a trainee - great chance to ask more informal type of questions on lifestyle and work load.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Lots of skill-based presentation and a negotiation workshop which was fun and informative, rather than individual skills more like an insight into a city law firm and its working environment and culture.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Impressively so, lots of activities arranged - schedule was packed full of events including networking lunches and dinners. Only two days, but a very dense consolidated event with many talks.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Really enjoyable - anxious at first but overall very friendly environment and people were kind and happy to chat. Just take the opportunity as a learning experience and ask as many questions as possible.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Only a two day event so not a considerable amount of training but fair to say they left a impressively favourable impression on everyone attending and did invest time and money in accommodating us

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Only a two day event - more like a chance to see the working environment

    3/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • A small glimpse of the friendly and open culture

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Very valuable, these chances are very competitive and will undoubtedly help you in your future applications - vacation schemes and training contracts by showing interest at an early stage

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • They incorporated many networking events with lunch and dinner slots therefore it was not as formal with everyone trying to dig into their food. Also, met partners and employees of greater seniority.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Very enjoyable and fun

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Pro bono, sports, baking?, choir...

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Very good experience - educational and fun. Application is relatively simple and for a two day event it held an impressive amount of useful material - obviously lots of information about the firm as well.

    5/5
