I knew it was the right decision to apply for a job at Prysmian Group from the very first day. Literally everyone in the office was really supportive and coming to work was a pleasure. I never felt overwhelmed or confused about what I had to do and was given a lot of opportunities.
I enjoyed my placement year to a large extent. The office was friendly and enjoyable, and the work was rewarding. At times it was challenging and the pressure was vast, but it is these necessary experiences which are vital for my future career. Being involved in some key projects and understanding procurement as a career, has helped shape my future ambitions.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of my placement was the people you got to meet along the journey. I worked with some good customers and colleagues. Unfortunately there were other areas that would let this down and would hinder the factor of enjoyment.
I enjoyed my work placement with Prysmian Group a lot. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and it was nice that there were students in other departments that started their placement at the same time as me. I am extremely happy that I did my placement here and I don't think I could have found anywhere better to experience my first full time job in accounting.
My placement at Prysmain group in Chelmsford was an excellent experience. I was exposed to a lot of the technicalities surrounding Subsea cable installation including equipment and documentation of past and current projects.
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement. Throughout the day I was free to interact with anyone around the plant, enabling me to learn a great deal. Everyone in the office was easy to get along with, and a large portion of the office was around my age. Some tasks were mundane, but it has to be expected from being the student.
During my placment at Prysmian I really enjoyed getting to know the people I worked with, both colleagues and customers. The sales office I worked in was very chatty and had a friendly atmosphere. The work was challenging to begin with but you quickly get good at your job and get to know your customers. The work can sometimes be dry and repetitive so you need to be prepared to ask often for more challenging opportunties.
I found the people there very caring and welcoming, everyone’s willing to help you and very polite. However, the work load was repetitive and boring, and I found it only required a small range of skills. I would have preferred the opportunity to gain a broader range of skills, by working on a larger variety of projects, that were a little more challenging.
I didn't fine my placement too enjoyable, this was due to a number of reasons. I felt I could have had a lot more work to do day-to-day. There were many moments where I felt I could have taken on more projects and had more responsibility. I don't think I reached my full potential.
I really enjoyed my placement year at Prysmian - the old students made me feel welcome straight away and the staff are all very friendly and good fun to work with. For a first experience of a full time accounting job it has been highly enjoyable - as I have been able to apply the material I learned from university to many aspects of my job role.
Working for Prysmian was a very valuable experience. They work you hard, but there is a real feel of responsibility. You take pride in what you do, and you feel valued as part of the team. No one belittles you or treats you as 'temporary'. That made it more enjoyable than past placements I have had!
I thoroughly enjoyed the placement. They provided me with regular task to allow me to grow as an individual. This will allow me to look for graduate jobs knowing a have a lot more experience than the average person. Trusted to work on real projects/tasks independently and your views and opinions are always listen to.
Whilst on placement at Prysmian I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The work could sometimes become slightly monotonous as I had a few repetitive tasks within my job, however being customer facing and surrounded by talkative colleagues I enjoyed the work the majority of the time.
My placement was quite enjoyable however there were times I didn't feel comfortable within the office. I enjoyed the tasks I had however they were the same, repetitive tasks. Although I didn't personally go out of my way to find projects I felt there wasn't many opportunities to do so.
