The Role
Overall I wouldn't have spent my summer any other way
I was never treated like an intern.
Close one-one training and monitoring.
More than enough to keep busy but never felt repetitive or meaningless.
I was treated as and had the responsibilities of a fully-fledged consultant
Invaluable work experience with a reputable name to have on your CV. Recruitment is one of those jobs that demonstrates a lot of transferrable skills
The Company
Loads of energy and because everyone was friends with everyone else, acheivements were recognised and congratulated by all.
Planned from start to finish with a workbook to guide you through and intermediate appraisals available too to keep you on track.
I received specific, thorough training from at least 5 different individuals in their field of expertise, all giving me their full attention whenever I had queries.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I had my internship contract extended and have been invited to join the part time work and learn scheme as well as a real possibility to join the graduate scheme.
The Culture
I got to meet several other like-minded interns who were all their to work hard but have fun at the same time, and that worked perfectly.
I had quite an expensive commute, but the general area was not especially expensive for food and drink etc.
Bristol nightlife is the best.
BD days, quarterly bashes and random nights out too. There was almost always something going on.
