The Role
My manager and colleagues were a joy to work with and were always friendly and helpful. My project involved several tasks where I was given lots of responsibility from the beginning of my time with CLV and I was always invited to take on more work when I completed my projects.
They always involved me in important projects and let me take the lead on different tasks, giving me much responsibility and always trusting my ability.
My manager always looked through anything important and steered me in the direction to improve, always letting me know when I had preformed well.
Although I had many projects, there were days when there wasn't much to do as my project was largely leading to the end few weeks of my internship. However, this meant I could look for more projects and tasks to involve myself in and take on more responsibilities.
I liaised with many colleagues in different offices and was involved in a marketing campaign.
The Company
Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Groups of colleagues went to lunch with each other and invited me on several occasions. The kitchen largely served as a social space where everyone was always friendly in the mornings. There was always chatter in the office and people around to talk to.
Our mentor arranged regular meetings to see how we were developing and help us with any problems. Much emphasis was put on our goals for the internship and for our final year at university, so that we could get the most out of our time with CLV.
I am not sure if this the career that I will pursue post-graduation.
The Culture
We regularly ate lunch together and sometimes socialised after work.
There were opportunities to get involved with the group gym sessions where colleagues attended the gym together.
