    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I quite enjoyed the placement and I would recommend it for anyone who is looking to take the first steps.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Besides the fact of being in a Sales role, I had plenty of interaction with Demand Planning and Finance, which made my network at work larger. In a overall picture, I guess I was considerably valued by everyone on those areas.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I got quite lucky in what refers to my line manager and my N+2, who were both really supportive and easy to work with.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My workload was really busy during the first 2 weeks of each month, with tight deadlines and presentations. Then it got quieter until the last days of the month when I had to work with month-end admin activities.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given some responsibilities but most of it had many stages of approval. Anyway, I think that involves not only placements and interns, but also the levels just above too.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I developed skills in excel and using data analysis tools, though the training received was lower compared to those on graduate scheme.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere is quite friendly and laid back, though as in any BIG company you can notice some sort of pressure due to deadlines and presentations.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was a bit hard to understand where exactly was I positioned and what was the aim of what I was doing because it was a new role. The tasks varied widely at the beginning. Must say that when I started, my line manager was really organized in trying to schedule inductions with everyone I was going to be involved with.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • This question quite relates to a previous one.. I think I could have had more training (specifically comparing to the people in the graduate scheme)
