The Role
I enjoyed the working enviroment and the salary
The fact that I was not given that much responsiblity did not make me feel valued in relation to work, however the fact they invited me to social events and I was even invited to meet their families made me feel valued as a person
I wish I was given more support and guidence, I was thrown in at the deep end from day 1. And there were no clear guidelines for progression.
Due to it being a sales enviroment I was busy in the sense of finding more candidates, but in terms of being busy in having many duties I was not.
I was given an increased amount of responsibility towards the end of my placement, chasing references, interviewing candidates.
Confidence, is a big skill I have developed in this placement, I was able to carry myself in a mature manner when meeting candidates, and the whole age gap was not a concern. I imrpoved my ability to structure my day and manage my time better.
The Company
There was always banter and a close knit family feel, even though everyone was different.
It could have been set up a lot better, after a while doing the same thing over and over again can become very boring, if there was a clear structure, I would have been more motivated to do better as I would know what needed to be done to get to the next step.
I went to training in london, which appeared to be quite expensive. But I would prefered to have a similar training to a consultant.
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
I was the only one, but yes we regularly went to the pub and football on a Tuesday
in total it cost me about £4500
Very poor
