The Role
Challenging but rewarding. Pushed out of my comfort zone but supported to achieve my best work.
Very young and friendly team, who encouraged me to reach my full potential.
Weekly 1:1s to set out an action plan/ tasks to achieve for the week to ensure a very structured process and thereafter lots of support available from my manager, team and the other interns.
I had an ongoing project with milestones to complete for the week so not too busy, but motivated to go above and beyond.
My project will be implemented by lots of different teams across Sales, Marketing and Category Management and I was reassured along the process that my work would be of significant value to the company.
The most helpful skill was learning so much Excel! Kraft Heinz took a risk with putting me (an English Lit undergrad) into a finance, Excel-heavy role but then provided the support for me to learn on the job and develop skills for life.
The Company
Fast paced, but people handle their stress well to deliver consistently high quality work. Everyone is very young with a communal spirit of hard work towards a goal they are passionate about!
From the assessment centre through to the last week it was very well organised and structured with support but the final week when delivering the outcome of whether interns would return as trainees could have been structured better.
Amazing access to the leadership team and high profile Q&As, with our time and questions valued. Having been invited back to be a trainee, I feel Kraft Heinz have invested in me for the future!
Offered a trainee job.
The Culture
More of a social environment within my team than with others on placement but office-wide drinks regularly on Fridays.
London is expensive, but I commuted from home so I saved by not renting.
Placement based in central London.
A charity 5k run and volunteering at the soup kitchen but not many.
