  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Busy schedule (in a good way) Enthusiastic staff who genuinely put a lot of effort in to making the insight day worth while Spoke with many relevant people

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • As this was the first insight day of its kind, the organisers were very interested in our views.

    • People who organised it and the staff attending where all young and recently employed. As they could relate to the situation that they themselves were in not too long ago, they were enthusiastic about providing honest opinions and advice

    • Lots of genuine advice on the industry, different career paths and the application process. The head of HR recruitment (for last 10 years) gave a lecture on the specifics of dos/don't of application process

    • Very well structured - packed, well planned and clearly explained itinerary

    • Was only a 1 day insight day, so this question does not really apply.

    • Lots of quick talks with recently employed staff from a wide range of career paths

    • Centrica's atmosphere and office setup certainly surprised me. Very big focus on making an enjoyable working environment

    • Lots of information on the pros/cons of a career with centrica, and which pathway would be right for you. Openness of the day facilitated lots of time for questions.

    • plus free lunch!

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yeah, there was a 45 minute networking lunch session

    • Considering this was just a one day event there was still a focus on getting us to network

    • Yeah - talks from numerous recently employed staff provided insight into the work/life balance focus of centrica
