Overview
At month end, we would compare recent data against the financial plan and identify any clear areas of interest to report back to the wider team. We would analyse data in an effort to find the root causes behind any significant deviations from the plan.
Skills
I have developed technical skills such as excel and PowerBI, and improved my presentation experience throughout.
Responsibilities
There was more opportunity for responsibility than I initially expected. My project to create an improved materials cost forecast for the team is expected to be implemented in the next financial plan, meaning I was able to have a genuine impact on the running of the business.
Support & Guidance
My Line manager was in constant contact in case I needed any help with my work, he also arranged weekly checkups to assess progress. We were also given grad buddies for additional support.
Culture
Company culture is one of the best I have seen. Everyone you meet is friendly and supportive, there is a strong desire for growth and success, and the environment is generally healthy.
