The Role
I have absolutely loved my time in the ISC department at Warner Bros. I have learnt so much about both finance and the operations of the business, in particular the supply chain area. Everyone within the department from the territory teams to the directors have been a pleasure to work with and the ISC department is a brilliant place to work.
I have felt extremely valued by my colleagues within both the Finance team and the overall International Supply Chain Department. They have treated me with a huge amount of respect and I have not been seen as 'just an intern', they have viewed me as fellow colleague and took on board my views/opinions on many occaisions. Again, everyone within the department is really friendly and approachable and it was not difficult at all to fit in at the beginning of my placement.
My manager has been absolutely brilliant with giving support and guidance throughout my internship. She has been more than happy to answer any questions I have had regarding the department/work we are doing, In addition, the other members of the Finance team have been a pleasure to work with as well, and equally helpful with advising me and I have learnt a huge amount from working with each individual.
I can honestly say there has not been a time during my internship where I havent had something to be getting on with, which is a great thing for me as I have heard other interns were sometimes short of tasks to do. If I have ever had too much work, other members of the Finance team have been only too happy to help me manage the workload, and this has been recipricated from my end as well. Being a finance role, the workload is at is peak at month end time, however I have never found this to be overwhelming.
I have been given a large amount of responsibility during my time in the International Supply Chain department. There are a number of tasks which are solely my responsibility and I am the 'go to person' for any queries relating to this work, In addition, I have been involved with management tasks as well as my normal day to day tasks, and it has been very insightful to be a part of this work.
I have learnt an array of skills during my time at Warner Bros which will absolutely assist me going foward. Through learning on the job my computer skills are far superior to what they were when I began this internship, as well as my general knowledge of finance and business operations. In addition, the intern learning sessions held throughout the year have also helped to develop my skills in areas such as presenting myself and managing workload.

I have learnt an array of skills during my time at Warner Bros which will absolutely assist me going forward. Through learning on the job my computer skills are far superior to what they were when I began this internship, as well as my general knowledge of finance and business operations. The overall internship was very organised and it is easy to see that a huge amount of thought and effort has gone into the set up of the placements. On arrival you have an induction both by the HR department and the previous intern, who teaches you the tasks you will be performing in your role. Throughout the year there are intern sessions set up covering a number of topics to learn about, and I have found each of these very insightful.
The company invests alot of time in the development of interns, both within their roles and for the future. An intern programme is present throughout the year which helps train and develop you in a number of different areas.

There is not a graduate scheme at present, however there are a large number of previous interns who have been taken on on completion of their degree. If you perform well in your role there is a good chance you will be considered for any appropriate positions which may come up in the future.
The Culture
Absolutely, there are a large number of interns compared to other companies, and so this leads to a great social scene. It is a great opportunity to make new friends.
As the placement is located in London, you do have to put up with London prices which are usually quite expensive. However there are good deals to be found if you look hard enough.
London nightlife is great and very vibrant. It is quite expensive however.
There are a large number of opportunities to get involved with outside of work at Warner Bros. These range from going to premieres to being part of sports teams or volunteering days.
