The Role
Loved it! I've always wanted to work in the music industry and this placement was the perfect opportunity to sample it. Now that I've had a little taste, I really want to work in the industry full time.
I worked hard and enthusiastically and so I was always being told how well I was doing and how well I fit into the team. They loved me!
I was so starstruck and in awe whenever I was in the company of the management so I tried to absorb every little thing they said cause I am sure that it will help me out somewhere along the line.
The days flew by because I was so immersed in my work. I never wanted to leave when my hours were up.
Compared to some of my mates's placements I was given little responsibility but at the end of the day the nature of the industry means that only the very top people are allowed a high level of responsibility.
In terms of PR, it was more admin based but I was working in the music industry so I will always remember it as a valuable period.
The Company
I absolutely loved discussing artists and projects with permanent staff members so I was always excited to talk with anyone in the office.
There was periods where it seemed that they didn't truly know what to do with me, but I got progressively busier as time went on.
No training was offered.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I would kill for a job with them. Literally.
The Culture
There was no one who I knew of who was on placement when I was there other than me of course.
London is highly costly compared to the good ol' North!
London is [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] awesome for night life. Much better than up North actually.
An email bulletin went around each month which listed lots of events etc.
