The Role
Really enjoyed my placement, with a variety of jobs to do and generally staying very busy. I had some moments of not having anything to do, but I could usually fill them.
I got on with all my colleagues and they were always happy to help me, as well as ask me for help sometimes, which made me feel very valued.
My manager was sometimes very busy, so couldn't always help me straight away, but there were always others to ask, and she would always help if i was really struggling.
Most days i managed to stay busy, however sometimes I did run out of bits to do and would have a bit of time doing nothing!
I was goven general tasks at the beginning and as they saw that i was competent they increased my workload and responsibility, making me more involved in process changes.
By working it made me understand terminology much more, and it showed me how things i have learnt can be applied within a workplace environment.
The Company
We always had music playing, everyone was super friendly, and the open windows made it a really nice and relaxed place to work.
There were moments were people didn't fully know what I did, but I usually managed to get on with my own tasks and I knew what i was supposed to be doing.
They got me a lot more involve in processes that were changing as my time went on. I learnt to be more innovative and creative as well as how a business generally works.

I would definitely consider coming to work for this company again, I'm just unsure if i would want to remain working in london.
The Culture
I didn't get to meet many of the other interns, except at one Intern brunch that the company held, but we often did social things as a team in central finance.
It was more expensive to get lunches in this area, but there was a big variety, and as it's in london rents and cost of living is a bit more expensive.
There were lots of pubs, bars and clubs around where i worked and lived, because it is london there is lots to do at all times!
There were a few sporting opportunities that i could have gotten involved with, as well as a gardening club, I went and played rounders one afternoon but that was it.
