The Role
Had a fantastic time from start to finish and there was nothing about the job that wasn't enjoyable.
Everyone was extremely welcoming and made the effort to make the interns feel like part of the team. There were several social occasions.
Managers were extremely helpful in all aspects of the placement, from teaching the use of computer systems to helping polish presentations.
There was variety, some days busier than others, and generally it got busier as the internship progressed, towards the final presentation.
The project completed would have been completed by a P&G employee otherwise, so in this sense you had the responsibility for analysis of that particular area of the business. My manager was great at teaching me the techniques though, so I wasn't just given responsibility without training.
Loads of transferable skills from working at P&G - the training is widely acknowledged as industry leading, for example in presentations, summarising complex data sets, statistical and analytical techniques.
The Company
A very relaxed workplace, though the Harrogate office is far smaller than London or Newcastle.
The location/details of the internship were only confirmed shortly before beginning, but once at the office everything was well run. The intern college in the 1st week was very well organised.
Plenty of training opportunities and chances to develop skills, as well as trips to experience other areas of the business.

A great place to work!
The Culture
P&G provided accomodation for the interns so we were all together in Leeds, which is perfect for young people!
Leeds can be pretty cheap or pretty expensive; depends on your taste. Accomodation was provided and subsidised by P&G.
Plenty going on in Leeds.
There were opportunities to play football, go on hikes etc.
