About You
I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it. My supervisor was fantastic, she made a real effort to get me involved in a variety of work on current cases and always had time to answer any questions that I had. Also, everyone I met was very approachable. The trainees took us out to lunch and there was also end of week drinks arranged. The views from the office are amazing.
I enjoyed the opportunity to contribute to current cases and discuss issues associated.
You share a room with a lawyer, just as a trainee would, so there is always someone to ask for help if you need it.
The experience has been incredibly valuable in understanding the culture of the firm and how it differentiates itself from other global firms. It also helped me appreciate a law firm as a business.
The Company
On the first day there are a number of talks to introduce you to the rest of the group and the firm. Everyone is given their own supervisor so the mid week catch up is very interesting to learn how departments differ. You know exactly who to ask for help, whether it is the Library or IT for example.
Welcoming and quite relaxed. Open door policy.
Only a week, no training/investment.
Valuable insight into the life of a trainee at the firm.
