    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I found the experience very enjoyable and useful. It was very helpful to discover how law firms work internally which has given me a lot of useful information.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The lengths that my supervisor went to in order to set up a range of useful meetings with various members of the firm made me feel a very big effort was made to accommodate me. This in turn made me feel valued.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • My supervisor regularly checked on me to see how I was getting on, and when I finished a task, she provided useful feedback for me.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Performing Case Summaries and research will help complement my existing role.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • I found the process well structured. The induction was well put together and informative. However, the inability to save my work caused me to lose 1/2 a day's work which was frustrating.

    3/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • I found the atmosphere to be very friendly whilst maintaining a clear level of professionalism. It was clear that people are here to do a job and work hard, but are there to support you if you need it.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Having Library training set up just for me was very helpful, as I had never used Law databases before.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The number of people I spoke to, along with the induction process helped give me a very good understanding as to what it would be like to work within the company.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • It was very useful. I now have a much clearer idea of what it would be like to work at RS.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It has been a very useful and informative experience, which has given me a great deal to think about.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Being reimbursed expenses at least would be very helpful in order to cover the high travel costs.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, a great deal thanks in large part due to the efforts of my supervisor.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The meeting arranged by my supervisor were very helpful and informative. However, I feel that (aside from a goodbye drink with the other placement students) this is where the organised networking opportunities stopped.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Not really.

    2/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes, I have found it very useful.

    4/5
