About You
I found the experience very enjoyable and useful. It was very helpful to discover how law firms work internally which has given me a lot of useful information.
The lengths that my supervisor went to in order to set up a range of useful meetings with various members of the firm made me feel a very big effort was made to accommodate me. This in turn made me feel valued.
My supervisor regularly checked on me to see how I was getting on, and when I finished a task, she provided useful feedback for me.
Performing Case Summaries and research will help complement my existing role.
The Company
I found the process well structured. The induction was well put together and informative. However, the inability to save my work caused me to lose 1/2 a day's work which was frustrating.
I found the atmosphere to be very friendly whilst maintaining a clear level of professionalism. It was clear that people are here to do a job and work hard, but are there to support you if you need it.
Having Library training set up just for me was very helpful, as I had never used Law databases before.
The number of people I spoke to, along with the induction process helped give me a very good understanding as to what it would be like to work within the company.
It was very useful. I now have a much clearer idea of what it would be like to work at RS.
It has been a very useful and informative experience, which has given me a great deal to think about.
Everything Else
Being reimbursed expenses at least would be very helpful in order to cover the high travel costs.
Yes, a great deal thanks in large part due to the efforts of my supervisor.
The meeting arranged by my supervisor were very helpful and informative. However, I feel that (aside from a goodbye drink with the other placement students) this is where the organised networking opportunities stopped.
Not really.
Yes, I have found it very useful.
