  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Mostly felt valued and generally included.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • A fair ammount. Supervisor was happy to chat and answer general questions as and when I thought of them. Was not sure how to pay for food in teh canteen on the second day though.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It has helped me to make an informed choice about the area of law in which I may want to specialise in and that I will be applying to Reed Smith for a traning contract.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • First day was very well structured. It was useful to meet midweek and I am glad that drinks got organised.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Very positive atmosphere during the insight. Made to feel comfortable and welcome.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Helpful talk on interview process but could have done more on CV or mock interview although only here for 5 days.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Felt as if I knew exactly what life as a trainee would be like.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Feel as if I know the culture and thos of the office very well despite only being here for a short time.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Would have been more helpful had I not already made up my mind prior to attending.

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was not paid/reimbursed. I was slightly surprised that expenses were not offered as it is a scheme aimed at students and travel and food in London is a significant expense, especially for thsoe coming from further afield.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Opportunities were largely self-made however it was impressive to have the managing partner talk to us on the first day.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There were none as such organised by the firm itself, which I found slightly surprising but there were opportunities to network and talk to people.

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Not really. I found out about my supervisor's itnerest but only through general conversation. I would have liked to have found out more about how I could contribute to Reed Smith if I trained/worked there.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes, invaluable experience.

    5/5
