The Role
I really enjoyed the work placement, ASOS is a great place to work on your University placement year.
I felt really valued by all of both my immediate and wider team.
My management team were really supportive of my progress throughout my placement year.
Although the department I was working on was very busy, there were enough members in the team to balance the workload.
Throughout my placement i was given the same amount of responsibility as the full time members of staff, as i progressed within the role i was given additional responsibilities.
The placement with ASOS massively helped my degree and more importantly, my understanding of Fashion Buying as a whole. At University you predominantly learn the theory, whereas in ASOS you learn the practicality of what you have been taught. The team helped to assist me with coursework throughout my placement year and since leaving are helping me with my dissertation.
The Company
Everyone was honestly lovely, you couldn't walk 10 steps without a smile or a hello from someone on the menswear floor.
REALLY well! The placement year programme has training and sessions planned in every few weeks to not only bring all the interns together but to offer training necessary for the role and to help develop each intervidual.

They're great, after my placement ended I went back to temp on various departments for a while. The HR department are amazing and keep you up to date with vacancies weekly.
The Culture
Definitely, you become very close to other people working on their placement year and remain friends with them long after.
Netball, football, on site gyms and exercise classes and of course the monthly friday beers!
