The Role
I had the best year during my internship at ASOS! It's a brilliant company to work for and the internship role is a full on buying role so you gain invaluable experience.
I felt very valued by my colleagues as I was seen as a normal employee and equal member of the team and included in team decisions.
My manager and other members of my team were very supportive throughout my placement, we had regular catchups and reviews which helped keep me on track and not get overwhelmed.
The job is extremely full on as you are doing a complete buyer's assistant role, however I always enjoyed this as you are never bored and learn so much about the role and the industry every day.
The role entails lots of responsibility which was scary and overwhelming at first but you get used to it. Through this responsibility you feel like you can really excel in the role and make a positive difference to the team.
My placement at ASOS was an invaluable experience, I now feel like I have an insight into the fashion industry which I am finding very helpful in my studies. When I have finished my degree I feel confident that I will be ready to start my career in fashion buying and have made lots of great contacts along the way. I also received lots of different training courses at ASOS from advanced Excel training to teamwork training which contributed to my enjoyment of the role and will help me going forward in my career.
The Company
Busy, lively, creative, positive and fun.
I felt supported and part of a planned internship training scheme which involved regular catch ups and training sessions with other interns.
I felt valued, respected and invested in. ASOS got us involved in regular training but you could also sign up for additional training schemes; as well as having regular reviews with my manager.

I would love to go back to ASOS, its a great company to work for and I had an amazing time on my internship!
The Culture
Yes, there was regular social events e.g. halloween party, pub quiz, christmas party, summer party- which were all really fun!
London is really expensive to live but there is so much going on and a great place to be when working/ studying fashion.
Camden- lots of restaurants, bars and clubs.
ASOS have a social committee that put on events out side of work. There are also sports classes that you can sign up for before or after work e.g. Yoga
