    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed the second half of the internship a great deal more becuase at this point I was given more work and responsibility. The first few weeks were very slow despite my requests for work.

  • I felt highly valued by my colleagues who all took time to chat to me individually

  • I was given excellent support by my manager as well as by my counsellor and buddy

  • I was not always very busy.

  • I was given ownership of a few small tasks

  • The skills I developed will not help in my degree due to it being in the humanities, but will help for a career in the city.

  • Great vibe and social events too

  • Very well organised with plenty of socials for us to get to know one another outside the office

  • I felt like a huge amount was invested in me, particularly due to the counsellor and buddy system

  • Yes, we had several events laid on.

  • Fairly costly

  • Lots of good nightlife
