    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. Although there were times when work was a bit quiet, in general I was heavily involved in projects.

  • Very valued. Everyone was very friendly, and keen for me to help them with their work.

  • Line manager was excellent - gave me regular feedback, and we often collaborated on projects

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My workload varied. There were times when i was very busy, but in general the work was not too heavy unless I really went out and looked for it.

  • I was allowed to head up some projects, and have significant supporting roles on others

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Hard to say at the moment, as I haven't returned to study, but I have no doubt that my time here will help me immensely, particularly when it comes to graduate jobs

  • The office was quiet and studious, but with a friendly atmosphere that was occasionally more chatty. Everyone was always willing to answer questions

  • Very good set up. Line manager had projects lined up for me when I arrived, and regularly updated my work load

  • I was given the freedom to direct my own development, with the company supporting me in this regard, and paying my expenses at times

  • Very appealing - there is a great deal of the business I have yet to be involved with

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Other placements were very friendly, but evenings tended to be quiet.

  • They paid for our accommodation. Socialising was expensive
