  • 4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • People treat you with a great amount of respect and value your contributions greatly.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • A very good level of support by those you work with, less so by the graduate team.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • This ranged greatly. Some weeks I traveled across the countries for events and meetings. Other weeks were quite slow.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A decent amount. Enough so you can make an impact but not enough to feel overwhelmed or in danger or doing something damaging.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not at all in my degree but greatly in the work place.

    3/5

    The Company

  • I was part of a team with a great overall atmosphere

    5/5

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Centrica invest a great amount. I was given presentation training, the opportunity to present and detailed feeback. Excel training was also given to me which is very valuable. Other areas also included development days, insight days (I spent a day with an engineer) and networking events.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    National Travel

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Good, but competitive.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • By far the best part about the placement. You live with the other interns and have an incredible time!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • On the higher side but not ridiculous.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There was none. But only a 15 minute jouney to Windsor meant we could have some nightlife.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not much.

    1/5
