The Role
It was quite a good placement. Variety of work i had to do kept it interesting.
Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Support is always there, if you show a little bit of initiative.
Busy most of the time, but you can take your time if you need to.
Decent amount of responsibility in the second half of the placement.
Learned programming in C#, VB, NSIS. Improved my knowledge in SQL and Oracle databases etc.
The Company
Understandably quiet most of the time, but you can put headphones on when working if you want to!
Pretty good. Had training in the first month, then worked in support for couple of weeks to understand business processes, then i was moved to development team.
Gave me a chance to pass an exam to get a SCRUM developer qualification.

The Culture
Most of the people were happy to go out and party :)
Expensive area to live in, but affordable. Lived in a house with other 3 people working at lighthouse and paid £300 a month plus bills.
Not much to choose from when going out in Crawley, so went to MOKA most of the time.
Play football for Lighthouse Systems team
