The Role
Great. I developed skills and got great experience for the future.
I feel like I'm definitely part of the team.
Plenty of support where I needed it. My supervisor was very patient when I was struggling with certain aspects. Very nurturing.
Peaks and troughs. At times, I had numerous cases and pieces of work to do in each case. At others, there was little work. Generally good.
I was given as much, if not more, responsibility for files than friends and some colleagues at law firms.
I developed my drafting skills, advocacy, interpersonal, organisational and other skills.
The Company
Very Friendly.
Generally very good. I think I could have done with a bit more diversity in some areas (e.g. looking at one other area of law, or looking at another area of IP practice).
My supervisor did a lot to ensure that I was learning and growing as an intern and as a lawyer.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
A job at Warner Bros. right now is not best for my career. Could apply for a Training Contract, to which I would get an interview, but in-house is not the best place to start a legal career generally. It has given me the experience to seek firms in private practice.
The Culture
I started my internship late so it was a bit more difficult to socialise.
Good, but perhaps slightly more expensive to what I'm used to.
It's London!!
A few, e.g. a team-building day etc.
