The Role
Really enjoyable, lots of learning curves and fantastic opportunities to get more involved in the business.
Have become really close to my team and given individual tasks/responsibilites
Felt I needed more support on occasions but generally recieved fantastic guidance from the whole team including my manager
Occasionally felt stressed with how busy I was but generally completed tasks in my contracted hours
I felt I was given the appropriate amount of responsibility for my position, and if I was given more I felt I was well managed and could ask for help if I needed it.
Particularly helped by the intern training courses I attended, which improved my communication,.organisational and presentation skills.
The Company
Although I worked on a quiet floor my team were all really close and we all got on really well.
I haven't had as many progress reviews as I initially thought I would but the training courses and how the team have developed my skills as the internship has progressed felt well thought out and organised.
The training courses that were organised for the interns were informative and felt relevant to the placement year. The only thing I would have liked to experienced was business trips abroad, to PR conferences and meetings with our US colleagues
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
I would definitely like to come back and work for Warner Bros. particularly in the same team.
The Culture
The other interns all socialised/lived together and regularly went out, although I rarely went with them as i was living with friends who didn't work at WB and preferred to spend time with them.
My rent was a lot more than I thought it would be, and being in Zone 3 meant my travel was also expensive to get to central London. Socialising was also expensive, an average night out would cost around £80.
As I worked near Covent Garden there was a lot going on near where I worked, sadly it was too expensive for my intern budget!
I attended a few premieres and events such as the Batman Live show which was always really exciting.
