The Role
P&G like to promote a really good work/life balance. Some days were a real struggle and could be really stressfull but it's all worth it in the end.
One of the P&G success drivers is 'Building Collaborative Relationships' - there is a reason why this is valued so highly and the key to success is to build good rapport with everyone around you. With time, you become valued for your key contributions and are the 'go to' person in your area of work.
You are trained well within your first couple of weeks and also have the chance to do further training throughout. In terms of guidance, I was left to run my own projects and it was up to me to reahc out for help - I think this is the best approach for self development
Some days were extremely hectic and I would work more than my standard hours. However, there were periods where I would have very little to do, so concentrated on trianings and self development aspects. You have to learn to cope with these peaks and troughs.
As project manager, you have responsibility for all aspects of the project, including success, cost, technicalities. It's up to you and you will reap the rewards when you succeed!
I developed a significant amount of skills during my time at P&G that will stick with me through my final year and also into my future career (whether that be at P&G or elsewhere).
The Company
Everyone wants you to succeed and everyone is extremely driven themselves. It is a very fruitfull environment and very motivating.
It's a big organisation and you can tell they have refined the process year on year.
It is up to you how many training courses you take and how many skills you want to develop. My advice would be to make the most of it and fit in all the relevant courses that you can.

If the circumstances are right then I would love to return after my final year at University
The Culture
Like anywhere, there are people you get on really well with and it just clicks. For others, it took a little more effort. On the whole, everyone at P&G is up for a laugh and you just need to find the people that you have most in common with.
Really good value for money. If you are based in Newcastle then live in Jesmond - you have bars, shops, Metro stations and you are close to the city centre.
Newcastle is great for whatever you are looking for!
The sports and social club subsidises all activities, from football and basketball to horse riding! Get involved.
