The Role
Great company to work for, big projects with real outcomes. They look after their staff very well with benefits and rewards.
I feel like the work I do helps everyone and genuinely makes a difference to their projects.
Plenty of training and reviews sessions, and someone is always available for help.
Some days can be super busy, others can be catching up on reports etc.
Given a project to do, which other people relied on the results, so quite a lot of responsibility.
The experience of working in a real big business will definitely help in the future. Organisation and networking were two major skills that I've strengthened since working at P&G.
The Company
Always a friendly atmosphere, even when the pressure was on with big project deadlines! We had fruit and cake sessions to give a little relaxing break during the week.
From the interviews, to accommodation, to trips, to training and beyond. The internship was very well organised!
We were flown to London on two occasions for an intern training college and to visit the plant. This provided a great training/networking opportunity and showed they had future plans for us by investing that much time/money.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Healthcare from home
If offered, I'd definitely consider a job with P&G once I had graduated.
The Culture
Most of us were placed in halls for the first 10 weeks. This allowed us to make friends and have a very good social life! Within the company there were lots of lunches/dinner/team building activities too.
Very similar to back home. Could have a very cheap night out, or if wanting to, go to fancier places. The choice was there.
It was Newcastle - nothing else to say.
Yes, plenty clubs and other activities, and the working hours allowed for this too.
