    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The insight was fantastic. There were only 24 of us which meant that we were made to feel very welcome and were always about to have 1 on 1 conversations with the employees there.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I couldn't get over how much time and money EY were willing to invest in us. It made me feel highly valued.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • as mentioned above there were 24 of us and the professional to student ratio was fantastic meaning we got a huge amount of personal guidance.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I do an arts subject so the skills were not directly relevant to my degree, however I want to go into consulting and so the skills and information I got were invaluable for this.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The organisation was impeccable both during the event, before the event and in terms of follow up.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • we had plenty of time to socialise and the environment was stimulating but always with a focus on relationships and their importance.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • EY hired 2 outside consultants to help develop ourselves as individuals which was an incredible experience. EY also put us in touch with some of their employees so I could chat to them both before and afterwards which has been really helpful. Some of the conversations have been nearly an hour long reflecting the investment that the firm is willing to put into us.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The Leadership academy is more about learning to develop yourself with one day at the end which focuses partly on the firm itself. Getting to meet people who work there and chat to them over the 4 days helped me to get an idea of what it might be like to work there.

    3/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Because there were so many professionals there we got a really good sense of the kind of person who works at EY. One evening we had karaoke and another night we had a drumming workshop!

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It is due to this leadership academy that I discovered that want to do consulting and I now have an internship with EY.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • All expenses were covered.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • During the academy there were lots of employees available to talk to from all service lines. I have also been in contact since with people that I met during the academy.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Absolutely, both in terms of students and employees.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • We could find this out because over the course of many meals we had the chance to talk to the employees about what else they do.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I couldn't recommend the leadership academy more highly. Regardless of whether you want to work for EY, the personal development was huge and actually meaningful.
