  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Overall it was an excellent experience. There was challenging and varied work and it is a great firm to work for.

  • Great team ethos, very friendly people who make you feel welcome and valued from the start.

  • Great network of support and mentoring. I was assigned a counsellor at management level to help me with any problems.

  • There were some exceptionally busy periods but generally, the balance of work was good.

  • I was given meaningful work from the start and was encouraged to work independently and take on new challenges.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It improved my teamwork skills and gave me a great insight to how different companies work. It was a unique opportunity to have this experience within a degree course. I also improved my excel skills dramatically!

  • Very friendly staff, and plenty of department/whole office social events!

  • Very well organised and I was well informed throughout the whole process.

  • Excellent training throughout the year, also a great opportunity to study for and sit the first stage of ACA exams.

  • Great company to work for, and was thrilled to receive a graduate offer!

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a close bond amongst placement students thanks to our induction and training weeks. There were also lots of social events with different teams and departments.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • My placement was in London so was probably a bit more expensive than the regions. However, as I have lived in London my whole life I didn't notice too much!

  • Lots of different places from relaxed pubs/bars to nightclubs within easy reach.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I took part in 2 corporate social responsibility days where we did charity work. There are ample opportunities to help with charity events and other events in the office.
