The Role
The tasks were varied and the team were great to work with.
Very valued by every member of the team. It was made clear how my work would impact the running of the team.
I always felt comfortable asking for help when I needed it and felt that my team believed in my capabilities.
I was constantly given varied and interesting tasks to complete. I enjoy being busy and working in a fast paced environment so it was great for me.
I led on volunteer organisation and liason for a specific event, and was allowed much freedom within this.
Without this internship, I would not be progressing into paid work within the charity sector.
The Company
The office was full of lovely people, it was very sociable and I was made very welcome.
My workload was large but I was guided through procedures of coping and managing it.
My line manager and head of department coached me before a job interview and wrote a reference for me to take on the day. They seemed very keen that I succeed.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
I would be more than proud to work for the British Red Cross.
The Culture
Living in Oxford mean that socialising was harder. However, I often spent lunchtime socialising with colleagues.
The canteen was subsidised which made it much easier to afford food and drinks.
It was hard to socialise whilst living away from the city.
I was offered countless talks and workshops to attend.
