    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The internship provided me with a challenge for the summmer. It was a good opportunity to learn about the financial services industry and take on real responsibility. Also, meeting new people in the organisation and making friends was good too.

  • Colleagues were very welcoming and friendly. I never felt stupid asking any question. They encouraged questions and they were always very helpful in answering them.

  • My managers and also HR took an active role in providing feedback for me about my personal performance which was very useful and will help for the future.

  • There was always something to do and I was always kept busy. If not, taking an interest in projects other team members were carrying out and learning something new was good too.

  • Given alot of responsibility and also ongoing support and assistance when I needed it.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Received training on topics such as leadership and presentation skills in graduate masterclasses. I also learned about business process management and how to apply it. Learned invaluable skills which will help me in the future.

  • A very hard working and highly motivated team working in a pleasant and friendly office.

  • It was very well set up.

  • Graduate masterclasses were provided on various topics. Also regular feedback and assistance was provided from HR and my manager.

  • yes- and also a number of different sports teams to join.

  • Found it average.

  • plenty of bars and clubs in the city centre.

  • many sports teams, nights out and organised events in my team such as go-karting.
