About You
Very enjoyable experience with lots of events, in-house talks, lunches and socials all put on the vac schemers.
I valued my time immensely, was given real legal tasks to complete and a lot of responsibility.
Trainees, associates and partners alike were available and very approachable if I had any questions.
I did history at univeristy and therefore, my placement did not develop my historical research skills, but taught me how to function in a legal setting and how to improve on my commercial skills and insights.
The Company
Very well structured (see my first answer for more details).
Emjoyable, interesting, fast-paced.
The firm, the Grad Rec team and my supervising trainees in partiular invested a huge amount of time and energy into ensuring that I was well placed to completing my assigned tasks.
I now appreciateb the tyoes of tasks that a trainee at BLP would be expected to complete.
We had a very iknteresting talk from BLP's managing partner, Neville Eisenberg which was solely on the culture and vision of the firm which was extremely informative and gave us vac schemers an overview of the firm's general direction.
Everything Else
Yes i was, we received £275 per week, which I found very reasonable and more thasn covered my food and transport costs for working at the firm.
Many socials and lunches.
Very good, lots of food/drink.
Found out about the various sports that the firm's employees put on outside of work.
Yes.It was a great experience which anmyone lucky enough to be a part of would enjoy.
