  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • We were well looked after and the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout the four days. I was really surprised as it felt that they were really taking a genuine interest into what we were doing!

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I received a lot of really useful feedback after the tasks which were set on a daily basis. I think this was really supportive!

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As the insight says it is a leadership academy and I felt that they focused a lot on the leadership skills. This is an area which I would say I have improved in and will take forward through university.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • It was a great atmosphere. At times, a little tense, especially in the activities as you can't not help notice that they are grading your performance but ont he whole it had a good atmosphere

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Ernst & Young spent a lot of time developing us throughout the four days. It's training which I would have never received if I didn't get onto this insight.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The tasks simulated the working environment, but at the same time the presentations took the effect of a full time job away!

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I got the feeling the Ernst & Young's culture really stands out compared to the other big 4 (in my opinion!). Everyone I met had only good things to say!

  • I have definitely found my calling and will be applying for the internship.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • In addition to expenses, we were also provided travel, meals and accommodation.

  • There were numerous opportunities in the evening with regular socials, chances to network with other leadership academy students and Ernst & Young staff.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • I really enjoyed them. At first it did seem quite daunting to speak with partners over a drink but once I got over the initial phase I felt it was okay! The opportunities were a good experience to get to know more about the company in a relaxed atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • I didn't get the chance to ask employees this as there was jsut so much to talk about.
