The Role
Very much enjoyed my placement, Especially learning more about engineering and interacting with new people.
All my colleagues were very helpful and patient when I had questions.
On every task I was assigned I was briefed by my line manager.
Always had appropriate work to get on with.
Was given adequate responsibilty which shall stand me in good stead when i graduate.
Road engineering is not something I am studying in detail however the contract side of project shall stand me in good stead when i return to my studies.
The Company
Atmosphere in the office was pleasant and hard working.
Some minor problems with HR but all in all good.
I was not there long enough to go on any training courses but the interest they took in me was good as were the wages.
Now on a sponsorship scheme and shall be offered a place when i graduate.
The Culture
All the employees were welcoming and there is an active social scene within the office.
I lived far from the office so socializing close to the office was difficult.
As above.
There is a social committee so there was always activites on the agenda.
