The Role
I greatly enjoyed being back working in the office as I have gained many friends here over the course of my 4 placements.
I was fully envolved as if I were a full time employee.
Working in a small department within the office meant I was constantly working closely with my supervisor. She was always there to offer advice and assist with any questions I had.
The department that I worked in depended on input from external parties to generate work. There were times when there was plenty on and others when I had to bide my time to wait for something else to come in.
I was trusted to regularly communicate with the client and developers and put across my own take on matters.
I have most certainly improved my communication and research skills through the type of work with which I had involvement.
The Company
The office is a friendly environment and I have made many friends since being here. Everyone is welcoming.
Coming back for my 4th year at the company, I was placed in a new department once again. This has allowed me to develop new skills and diversify my experience.
I was accepted onto the companies sponsorship scheme wherein I am assisted with my university fees in exchange for agreeing to work for 2 year post graduation. I am hugely greatful for this fantastic oppertunity.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Permitting I meet the terms of the sponsorship agreement, I believe I have a good chance of gaining future employment within the company.
The Culture
I organised weekly five-a-sides with my colleagues to improve the social element. We also arranged a students leaving night to thank everyone for their help over the summer with a few drinks.
I lived at home therefore I did not have to worry about living costs.
Glasgow is a lively and interesting city with something for everyone.
Five-a-side football was organised weekly. There were also other fund raising activities which we were invited along to.
