  • Was not given any work of particular importance over the whole 8 weeks

    2/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My mentor was quite nice and would explain things but I felt as though I was wasting his time quite a lot

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Struggled to find work a lot of the time (although at least this meant I didn't have to stay until the early hours)

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not much at all

    1/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learnt a fair amount, which hopefully will be useful even if I don't pursue GIB as a career

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The people were pleasant but not overly friendly. There seems to be a very competitive atmosphere amongst other teams in particular

    2/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Organisation was fine - we had a good training week and heard from members of other departments

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

  • Subsidised Canteen

    2/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Not very - maybe in a different department where the hours are less and the work is more interesting

    2/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Only when socialising with other departments - did not go out at all with interns in GIB, most of the bars are closed by the time everyone gets out of work!

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Expensive

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
